    Is C dropping tonight?
Just wondering what to expect instead of anticipate, not rushing you

I almost hate to flash a new version. For some odd reason my truck has been getting astronomical fuel mileage to have heavy ass 285 E load duratrac's. I have been getting in the low 20's all week. Usually 22-24 mpg. It's usually 17-20. I'm still running 1.01b. I was not getting that mileage before.

Yeah I've been switching back and forth, somehow I find myself going back to 1.01B.

I just hope 1.02C is better than 1.01B

It's been in the mid 80's here. Lower humidity. I don't know. I will take it though.

I’m with ya - I didn’t like 1.02b, and with 1.01b I find that after about 150 miles I hit the sweet spot where it’s very smooth all around. Vibes nearly disappear, throttle is smooth, shifting is normally smooth (though the delayed 4th downshift and business in general will create some jerky behavior from time to time). I’m looking forward to seeing what C has in store for us, but as I’ve said before - if my truck was delivered with an ECU tuned like 1.01b I would not be an OV customer. ;). I won’t be able to resist though. If he smooths out at least some of the remaining shifting wrinkles, I’ll be happy.

If I missed the answer, I apologize. I know that Mat said:

    The 3 versions will have:
    Map v1
shifting control - D mode - All Gears
    - Torque maps to match

    Map v2
shifting control - D mode - gears 1-4 (5th and 6th shifting left as stock)
    - Torque maps to match

    Map v3
    shifting control - D mode - gears 2-5
    - Torque maps to match

Do we know if ECT will be a more aggressive version of each of these maps, or will ECT be the same no matter which base map you use?

If in fact ECT for Maps v2 and v3 will leave 5th and 6th, or 1st and 6th, respectively, as stock, does that mean 'stock D-Mode' or 'stock ECT-Mode'?

    Thanks...................... Frank

Ughh...I pop into this thread like once a month and this stuff just keeps getting more and more confusing.

I just want something that plugs in like a piggy back tuner

Yeah, unless the dealer flashes your truck to a previously unknown version of OEM code it should remain a simple process. Get new version of OVtune in an email, plug laptop into truck, flash... :notsure:

Edit: After your first time setting up the computer/dongle etc.
