When I went to view shells I found that Leer has a 5 year warranty on paint,Snug Top has a lifetime on paint.

Here's a more recent pic of my truck with my ARE MX shell. Due to its height, rooftop storage had split levels, So I put a new Prinsu cabrack on it. I went this route to better level off the rooftop storage area for my two 18-foot long double kayaks and soon to be future canoe. It looks great; I get a lot of compliments and people ask what type it is: image.jpg

Oh yeah - and if you do get a ARE cap with opening windows, order it with pet screens, they are definitely worth the screen protection!

I'm getting about 20mpg average on long highway trips. We went to see the eclipse in Idaho from So Cal (about 1800 miles) and averaged 20.8 mpg (averaged about 60mph, as we drove on side highways through Nevada).

I too shopped. I chose a Century because of the price. Leer/Century are the same shells. They are made in the same molds and the windows and doors are the same. The reinforcement is the same. Same paint and same warranty. The guys building them don't know what the brand will be until after the paint is applied and the appropriate icon is glued on.

Check prices with a Century dealer.

This isn't true. I just got a CX with Windoors on my Truck..... the vented Windoors are not available though.

OP, FYI, be careful about pricing on these things. Windoors are generally $450ish a piece and Rack Systems are another $500. That bumps the price up a bit.

No tags on the bed, air dam.
LEER 100XR for my long bed. Added the racks for rafting trips. Sturdy windoors don’t leak at all.
Paid around 3k with all the added options.
I don’t like the look of the back glass though. The nobs look outa place for some reason. The top of the line ARE looks nicer.

OP keep in mind that the SnugTop factory is just up the road from you, and the others are probably shipping in from the east coast. I bought a SnugTop because I thought it was best, but the local aspect certainly didn't hurt.

I never said I wanted windoors nor a rack system. Sliding windows with screens.

What's the difference if it's made local vs if it's shipped from the east coast?
