    It is really boring, done the drive a couple times and man is that one huge dairy farm the smelliest thing ever. Like a sumo wrestler took a shit on a burning tire.

    I forget what freeway it is, I think it's still I5? It's the interstate to Vegas. You can see this massive solar farm for miles. The first time I saw it, it took me half an hour to finally drive past it.

    So you're saying a 3rd gen will depreciate at a higher rate than a 1st gen?

    I bought my '98 in 1999 for $15k. I could probably sell it 19 years later for $11k. To me that speaks volumes about the 1st gen.

    Anybody have part numbers for the transmission mount and the carrier bearing? I think that's what it's called? The part that holds the Driveline in place. Should i go oem?

    I have no idea if the second or third gens are any good. Bought my first gen in 2001, and it's still going strong. If it ever wears out I'll get to see what the new ones are like. Don't know what generation they will be on by then.

    The route through Salt Lake City is slightly shorter, and seems like it would be less prone to traffic delays than I5 through Seattle, Portland, Sacramento, LA, etc. I guess it's a lot more mountainous too though, which probably wouldn't be great for a Uhaul towing your Taco.
