Just skimmed through and not sure if this was answered directly but the rear 5100s aren't adjustable, just the fronts are. The rear isn't lifted by shocks, it's lifted via the leaf springs and you get a longer shock to accommodate. AALs are a good option, but they ride stiff. Even better would be a new leaf pack like All Pro, Dakar, or Deaver leaves.

Yeah, I know the rear isn't lifted by the shocks. But the 5100's say require a 1.5 lift to fit. I'm not sure if I have that or not. I just don't know much about tacomas.

Measure from the center of the hub on your rear wheel to the bottom of the fender / wheel well directly over it and maybe someone with a stock setup can verify what lift you have if any :) There's a good chance those springs are flat enough to put you at stock height again.

If you need 1.5" over stock in the rear then you'll need to add a leaf to the rear leaf pack to gain that height, but if you're current leaf pack is frowning then an AAL won't do too much. A 3 leaf AAL (a 'mini pack') may restore some of the life to it but it's just a band-aid if your stock leaves are close to toast. I'd look into replacing the whole leaf pack with either a stock set + AAL or an upgraded leaf pack from OME, All-Pro, Wheelers, etc.

Cool. Someone pointed out that I have an AAL. I have 5 leafs in my leaf packs. But yeah, they are tired.

Yeah if they're frowning with an AAL in there then it's time to replace. Just be sure to confirm on how much lift you're going to get with an aftermarket leaf pack if that's the route you go, I believe OME (Old Man Emu) sells a Dakar pack that's under 2" of lift.

correction, it's the Wheeler's leaf pack I was thinking of...it's 1.5" lift. On the pricey end but they make quality stuff

Yeah, really don't want much more than I have currently. If it's frowning this much with an AAL maybe I want stock hight.

Nothing wrong with that. What size tires are you going to get when it's time to get new ones? That and what you want to do with your truck are good things to think about when considering suspension options. Budget might be something to consider too

Nice truck man, good find. Looks like cheap stock replacement or slight lift leaf springs. You can tell because stock leafs are diamond cut on the ends and only have three leafs and an overload. That rear topper reminds me of the one I used to have (gave it to a former GF to use as a shelter for chickens on her farm), older Raider high rise....

I have 30x9.5 tires now and they are practically new. I only want to haul occasionally and tow even less occasionally. Thats why I would be good with 4600's. BUT, with my leaf springs worn out I want to replace them before too long. I don't want to lose too much lift though.
I'm gunna get a picture on flat ground. Even with the worn out leaf pack my tail end is still higher than the front.

Has anyone seen a TRD sticker like what is on my truck? I've not seen another one like it.

It looks a little suspect to me ;) Could be a sticker someone put on - is it under the clear coat or on top of it? Wheeler's makes a replacement pack that might keep you where you're at since it's only supposed to be 1.5" lift:

Suspect is what I was thinking. Someone installed an AAL and possibly a sticker. Weird. It's on the clear coat, not under.

It's all good. As long as they maintained it well then you're all set - after you start modding TRD doesn't mean anything.

Once I log more miles I will be happy. I'm still at the point where some temporary fixes might still be working. I have no reason to believe I have a lemon but used cars always make me worry for the first few thousand miles.
