I may still just flip it. Be easy to spruce it up a bit and make 10k on it

Front and rear lockers are both finally done! Took about 6 hours apiece because of stupid complications like shearing studs and ring gear not wanting to line up... but I'm done and they work.
Drove around with just the rear a lot today and did a few test drives with the Front. Barely notice the rear on road, can't tell the Front is there. Rear is very quiet, only notice it when making a slowish turn at full lock

Alright so I tested the front auto locker offroad tonight. Here's an update:

When I engaged 4wd for the first time since the install, I couldn't turn the wheel without really cranking on it like I didn't have power steering, and the wheels wouldn't unlock. I put a little gas into it and heard a loud 'pop' which I guess was the gears unloading because after that the front worked flawlessly. I am able to turn perfectly fine off road, even at full lock on gravel and hard dirt. If I put much gas in it, the wheel will fight me a little to go straight but not bad. When not applying the gas, it's like the locker isn't even there. No noise even. It takes hardly any gas to make it lock up, especially in 4Lo.
I didn't get into any extreme terrain, just mud and dirt and some ruts and stuff but didn't even quite get a tire off the ground. But so far the locker is awesome and doesn't cause me any grief. Pretty manageable tbh. Looking forward to testing it harder at AOP, just hope I don't break too much. Will bring spare diff, CVs, and tie rods.

Your problem will magnify greatly where you have a lot of traction, like in rocks. Dirt, mud, and gravel all let the wheels slip a little. I expect to see wheels in the air. Don't disappoint me.

Yeah hopefully steering isn't too bad on rocks, but if I am really light on the throttle I can still steer normal. If I need gas then hopefully one side will be able to slip a little so I don't break anything in my steering lol. And don't worry, if AOP is anything like Superlift/Hot Springs OHV then you'll see my wheels off the ground more often than not... spacer lift problems

Sounds like a blast! I ran a few 4's and part of a 5 at Superlift before the lockers and sliders. Just did them very slowly with a lot of spotting and one strap. So I'm hoping to attempt most of the blues we go on at AOP, but I'll have to listen to you veterans as far as what to try and what not to.. not touching blacks on my 265s that's for sure
