If given the option between a 2wd Ford Ranger and a 3rd Gen, I pick the 2wd Ranger. The Ranger would probably require less trips to the dealership for service recalls, doesn't require aftermarket transmission tuning or a pedal commander... I wouldn't have some overrated tech package with the Ranger though and god knows it's not like there's aftermarket tech options out there.

Whats wrong with the transmission? Its the ECU thats aimed at fuel efficiency. 2500+rpm 3rd Gen kills 2 Gen. I know I had a 2006 v6.

You should just give up. Talking to 2nd gen owners, who have never even stepped into a third gen, about 3rd gen quality is a waste of time.

Yeah, I tried to post it there but the page was down. Something about too much traffic from bro's bragging about their 4wd Camry's.

Hey, when you insure your vehicle, do you get a multicar discount for each half of your truck when it rusts in two?

Someone needs to organize a tractor pull between stock 2nd and 3rd Gen Tacos. That’ll settle it.

What's the point. The 2nd gen's rusty frame will just tear in half.

I tapped out for a minute but your reference of them all looking the same is hilarious here. Because if you take your 2nd gen with the makeup and the new dress you call a 3rd gen, and compare all the midsize trucks out now every one of them way more similiar to each other then the trucks in this pic. Everyone here referencing 2nd gen drivetrain complaints, i forgot about the all new revised drivetrain on 3rd gens.:rofl:
