    Afternoon all:
Out mowing the grass for the last time, I HOPE! Need to do some basic weed whacking AGAIN to clear some drainage ditches for the winter, I'm ALMOST ready for archery, which opened on Sat!
Went out to get the lawnmower day before yesterday to sharpen the blades and fuel it up to get ready to mow, it had a flat tire on the back so I had to fix that! :annoyed:
I don't need a part time job, I have a full time job just maintaining the property and anything with wheels or an engine, pay isn't too good though!
Oh well, time to go back to work, hope the trimmer starts!

Dang Tom, you sure make those cars look pretty!

I feel the same way Carl. There is always something that needs to be fixed around the house.

I enjoy detailing cars a lot. This summer is the first time I have felt well enough to do the job in the last two years. I just take it slow and if I get tired I rest.

I had the shop put new tires on the sons car today. Went with BF Goodrich Advantage TA Sport 235 55R17. Cost with alignment and oil change was $839 out the door. Not bad considering.

Morning all. Stay safe Gary and hope you don't get slammed by Nate. We'll be getting some rain from Nate but it will be just a passing storm by then. Take care all and have a good day.

Morning Susan and guys. Have not followed the storm, hope all are ok.
Got my front yard raked up and the needles, cones wheel barrowed to other areas. The pup is making work for me. Since i have a gate on the pen, it was showing its age, so had to make another. Grrrrrr! Broke three screws just below the head, mounting the gate on a post so had to change the height a little, then found some other screws to use. Had made a special trip to town on Saturday to get new hinges and screws. Not all was wasted, got to ride the motorcycle! Really sore from starting up my jogging a couple times a week last Friday. Move a little resembling an old man.

Hi gang, 10:45PM, Monday. Watching the news, all they have is the fires here in N California. Block after block of houses in one area burned to the ground. One private zoo, owner used garden hoses to put out spot fires where the animals were, but then his house burned down.
My friends in these areas are ok, ready.

Glad you and your friends in the area are ok Duane. This year has been a rough one for the USA but we will survive. The goodness of our fellow Americans shines through in times like this.

    Good morning everyone.

Off to replace a shower head and then time for some grocery shopping.

    Morning all:
Been a very rough year for those affected, they will rebuild only to have it happen again somewhere down the road, especially in the flood prone areas.
We used to have some pretty decent fires around here, nothing like California, but there was rarely any property damage because the areas weren't built up.
Today there are homes all over in a lot of those places, probably just a matter of time before a major fire goes through one of these developments.
X2 Duane, on "glad to hear that you and your friends are OK".
