    Ok. Back to regular programming.

    Riddle me this:

    Let’s assume that I’m missing the stub shaft and the front diff can’t drive/rotate the passenger side front wheel.

    Why can I engage the drivers side front ONLY if I engage the front air locker?

    Shouldn’t it work just by switching on the transfer case?

    Probably a simple answer to this. I just don’t know it.

    That would totally makes sense I believe. Without the stub shaft your open diff is spinning the side with least resistance (the wheel not connected through the missing stub shaft). Once you lock the diff, you are now spinning both sides the same but still one wheel isn't connected because of the missing stub shaft. Fuck this is confusing to type.

    You probably are.
    Lift the truck and transfer to 4WD.

    That’s the only way I found out.

    I could have gone on forever with 4WD if I hadn’t done that.

    But the steering gets tight on 4h and even tighter on 4L..... I think you would have notice that it 4H/4L was not working much sooner than later.

    Only stuck once per day on 2 WD on greens. But never stuck on 3WD.

    I’ve heard of nameless others stuck at least twice per day. On lockers, 35’s, fancy coil overs, superchargers and such. :boink:
