Same here. Work canceled and I'm catching up on garage clean up. Now that everything is painted it's time to reorganize tools and start designing a new work bench, welding table and welder cart.

I'm curious how it was stolen, keys left in it? Those Immobilisers are hard to bypass.

 

Underlying technology for keyless entry (Google about KeeLoq hack) was broken years ago. I dunno the specifics in this case, but if the fob was in close proximity to the 4Runner and it has push button start it's almost trivial to steal it.

If the 4Runner still uses mechanical keys then it's a little harder. The immobilizer only works to prevent hot-wiring, the electronic part isn't difficult to bypass.
