That's what I used to get when living in the DC area and everything is flat. Mountains and elevation with 70-80mph speed limits kill me.

Not sure if this helps but For long trips I found a local guy to fab a set of short bars to get some mpg back.

I can make my own bars, that's not the issue, I just want to get some ideas for wind deflectors. I have a solid idea but wondering how terrible its going to look.

 

Hmm, not bad I wonder if a clear plexi glass would look cool or not. I could make the frame but I'd worry about the plexiglass cracking in cold weather

I have a bunch of spare angle iron from the coffee table I'm making so i'll probably be using that. Its 1x1x1/8. Should be light and sturdy. I hope

Do lexan. You can it at hardware stores too. I had a few things installed on the exterior of cars. Made it through many winters. It's also way easier to drill.

 

I'll trade you locations.

 

I'll check that out tomorrow when I go to the hardware store. I thought I had enough metal to build it but I don't. So thinking about a different route with 1in square tube since its easier to work with angles vs the angle iron. I was thinking about using a ubolt to clamp it down to the bed rack since I don't have a roof rack
