Cold Air Intake vs. Stock Intake... Help!

maybe volant air intake would work great. looks like it already has the same size cutout as the deckplate mod and can use AMS oil cone filter!

and has airbox

 

One of the first mods I did was the CAI...if you can have enough self control(unlike myself) to keep your foot off of the gas pedal just to hear that sumbich growel like a panther on the prowel you might notice an increase in MPG.

 

You get the same or better increase doing the same with stock parts. 99% of bad mpg occurs between the drivers ears.

I have a hard time envisioning the little engine as a panther on the prowl, unless it's an old lame panther struggling to walk on its own.

But yes the Cai can make more noise.

 

The nice thing about the deck plate mod is you can close it when you go near dust or mud.
