An this is why you check over your vehicle before trips... I'm going to replace the ebrake cable on the passenger side, drums, shoes and hardware on both sides... Fuck I'm not happy about this. The first pic shows the rear shoe, how much meat is left, second pics is the front shoe with barely any meat left. Had to replace the driver's side cable back when my frame was done. Excuse the dirt in there, no sense in actually cleaning it out when they'll be dissambled in a couple days...

 

What's wrong with the cable?

 

Probably sticking tight and not releasing fully. Had it happen on the other side

 

I had to tighten my cable. The e-brake was barely holding on any sort of incline, even after new drums and shoes.

 

I was doing a clean and adjust of the shoes since my pedal is soft. The shoes on the drivers side are fine but the passenger front shoe is pretty low

 

We almost went, but the weather did not cooperate. We ended up packing up and heading home today. The wind was blowing so hard, I opened the front door of the camper and the rain was hitting the back wall of the camper! In a lull in the rain, we packed up and headed out. It was supposed to keep raining all day and we needed to head home in the morning anyways.

 

Ya, I hate rain when camping. It's ok if there is light at the other end of the tunnel. But when you need to leave before it stops, might as well be dry quicker.

Reminds me of my college days. I'd go to happy hour at Boppers in New Haven and then to Dynamics class from 7-10pm.

 

Yep. We went out to breakfast as Isabellas this morning and then the rain and wind set in. We have a small camper anyways but when you try to coop up 2 rambunctious toddlers and a dog in it, it gets old real quick. We saw a break in the weather and it happened to be at nap time so we made a decision, packed up and high tailed it home.

We spent the day at the Freeport Fall Festival yesterday so we still had a lot of fun while we were in Maine.

Took the day off to go to an ENT with my oldest. He had tubes in his ears, twice, and the holes doesn't seem to be closing on their own, so today will be the last check up and a decision made if they'll do surgery to close them or not.

 

Hope all works out.

 

Bummer. Good luck, I hope surgery isn't necessary.

 

Ok, looking for some insight. In a few weeks going to be driving in/around the adirondacs, looking for thoughts or ideas.

Thanks guys. I think surgery is inevitable. This is his 3rd follow up. The other times it hadn't closed, and they wanted to wait one more time to see what happens. This surgery is "real". More complicated than just putting the tubes in. Have to actually go under full fledged.

 

Thanks my man! If I learned anything in my time in the middle east, it's how to pack a damn good hookah.
