I was on 265's a couple of weeks ago at AOP had a couple of moments where 33s would of been nice for clearance but still at the end of the day made it through with the help of @tacotim448 , @rngr and @Mr.Bl0nde. You'll be fine on some of the blues ... the blacks no damn way without sliders, skids and bigger tires. Be prepared for the "pucker effect" as Bl0nde says lol.

I got kick out sliders now. (Thanks Gid) but still rocking trd OR skids so my tranny pan is a little exposed. Still, think I'll try the majority of the blues

You know, that's pretty tempting. Can't see myself trimming for 35s then going back to 265 though, there would be so much space left over.
And I still have 4.10s so idk how that would go :anonymous:

Good spotting is very important. Good driving is even more important. Like every motorsport ever, good driving holds precedent over capable rig (obviously within reason of one another). It's ignorant and irresponsible as fuck to tell someone with a full size truck and little tires that they will be capable of driving all of AOP. But it's also equally as ignorant and irresponsible to tell them not to worry about it and park their shit. Theres a medium in there and anyone that tells you different is not the person you want giving you advice on other things that require some form of logical, rational thinking.

You'll discover this on the trail when the guy, who for the last 2 hours at camp was disrespecting and talking shit about someone else with a less capable truck and how they can't do shit, gets out in front of you and expects you to trust him spotting while you drive one of those less capable trucks. Haha

This is true. Everything comes down to the line, spotting, regulating throttle, etc.
This truck surprises me every time it gets on the rocks, and I'm stoked to see how far she'll go with lockers and sliders now. I'm pretty confident in my ability to climb anything I can get my tires on without tipping over. That being said, if several of you guys with more experience tell me there's no way in hell I'll be able to clear some parts of the trail, then I'll listen. Not trying to fuck anything up.
I don't see that happening this trip though, with the variety of vehicles we have.

I'd think you'd be good if you've got all that just like @allmotorrex said. It's all about your spotters. TBH the last two times I've gone out with these guys I've felt a lot more comfortable and knowledgeable of what my truck can actually do. I'm quite amazed.

AOP definitely made me aware of that. Cause at first I said hell no to any of the Blues and then I started to hop on them not even aware and made them through.

Thanks, good to know. I'm just not sure what to expect from this park. If it's anything like Superlift then I'll try any trail the rest of you do

Not just a cut to fit situation on a 1st gen. Firewall tubbing required.

Hell, it took a constitutional amendment for me to get 33"s to fully cycle without rubbing.

Yeah I realize how much that would be. Couldn't justify it if I wasn't running 35s full time.
And don't you run 255? Didn't think they required much besides hammering the pinch weld and cutting off some plastic

    Yes. 255/85/16.

Nothing difficult to make them clear. Just lots of trimming. Go wheel. Hear tires eating plastic. Trim more. Repeat about 5 times. Also have to relocate your washer fluid res. And relocate your rear axle. And use different screws in your flares. And and and...

1st page of my build under wheels/tires should link you to all of it. Absolutely worth it.
