If anyone affected is down in South Bay for whatever reason and needs anything let me know. Not sure what help I can be on this weekend but I think I should have some time and can offer my Taco for transportation of people/supplies.

 

Not sure it will help but if anyone needs a place to crash for a few days, I've got room in Alameda

 

Friend in the area says a Santa Rosa gun store and tire shop have burned to the ground. That means fire in the city. Damn.

 

Santa Rosa is Tubbs Fire. Rohnert Park is Adobe Fire. Sonoma area is Nuns Fire per Cal Fire.

Calistoga Rd closed north of Maria Carrillo HS.

Been there for hours.

I thought we’d be okay when the fire jumped the freeway (6 lanes plus frontage roads) because we were 2 miles away through concrete streets.

It’s still moving though, lot of buildings. This is effecting a lot of people.

20k+ acres so far, 0% containment. Air strikes supposed to start shortly if wind isn’t too strong. Winds supposed to remain until afternoon today.

 

Yep the city is on fire. There are 60 fires reported in Santa Rosa as of now. My wife and I live downtown. We packed the truck and left. It's not safe at all right now.

What a surreal way to wake up. The winds were howling 50+mph last night, it was crazy. We're safe tho, now we just wait and see if it spreads anymore.

 

I work in South Bay, If anyone needs anything I can leave work to lend a hand. I can bring food, water or other supplies if needed. I can bring toys for kids, just say the word.

Yeah Gun Shop and Tire Shop on the corner of Piner and Range are gone. Also Khols, Kmart, Arby’s, etc are gone.

 

I think i speak for all when i say if anybody needs anything, please feel free to reach out. Clothes. Food, a room to crash.

Just watching/listening to news. This is crazy. I hope they can get air resources going asap. Especially the larger tankers.

 

Had a chopper fly over us about 15 min ago. First sign of air support I’ve personally seen or heard.

Our own @ffdawson is on the fire lines today too, while his family got evac’d this morning so y’all keep an extra thought for him and his crew (in both senses).

 

Yeah, my brother got called in around 11pm last night. Crazy for sure!

This was a red heli with a red tube hanging off of its belly. Passed us on its way north west of fire towards Healdsburg or maybe it’s pulling water out of Riverfront Park.
