Sounds like you just need to drive fast enough to drown out the sound.
This is also for safety. The faster you drive the less time you have to get into an accident.

I’m way the hell down here but happy to help if anyone needs it. Also not sure what size you are @IronPeak but I have a ton of XL shirts I don’t wear if you need clothes. Happy to send them up.

I’d steer clear today. Still having thousands of people evacuating, fire is still raging. Not over yet, or close to it.

That’s what I’m hoping for. Getting the tires rotated as we speak. If it is a wheel bearing, is there any auto parts store that stocks them pressed? I’d like to just buy two and replace them both if one is bad. Figured I’d have to do it sooner or later.

It’s faint up until 50. Then it’s a hollow howling noise. I thought it was my Prinsu adjusted the fairing and got rid of that theory.

Only think I can think of is it’s similar to when I had a bad rear end, replaced under warranty back in 2013. But it’s not as ‘grinding’ as that sound and it’s really only bad after 50mph.

The fact that it’s faint and gets worse with speed tells me it might be a wheel bearing. I posted here a few months ago thinking it was transmission but driving down the road at 55 I’ll pop into neutral to get stress off the trans and it still makes noise.

I don’t have a front Diff so it can’t be that.

Just read a FB from a friend. They live in Santa Rosa and had just finished upgrades to their home. Expecting a child soon too. House is gone-they had just moments to leave.
