Hayward f.d. has a strike team rolling.think richmond getting one ready..

 

I don't know exactly. Her family is from the area this was their second home. idk. You hear people's homes are destroyed and it doesn't register the same way it does when you know someone.

 

Hercules/rodeo fire looked like they were getting ready for something when I passed by this morning. Not sure what they’d be doing though since they only have 2 trucks.

 

If you find out anything valuable from them maybe let us know (some seem to have volunteered help so it's good to know what ways we can help).

 

They have a few more trucks. I live in rodeo.my kid did a intern at Crockett f.d., I'm thinking oes has called in all resources. Probably a strike team.

 

Yup, rodeo,Hercules,Martinez, and el Cerrito, all sent engines. Went to the atlas fire.

Safe in Windsor still, am told fires have started north of us in Cloverdale area.

 

Grandma is in Cloverdale, she said they are not being evacuated yet...

I know. I had very little when we left our in-house about 10 hrs ago. Now I have WiFi (so far), many have neither.


That said, if they have access to any communication then it should be utilized to fullest extent. We’re at 0% containment and still growing. I read earlier we were at 20k acres and expected to see 50k acres before it’s over, and fire is focused on evac not on fighting because conditions are poor.

Can’t confirm, but 13 hrs ago when I was in bed I wish I’d already left town. Being the guy in the middle is a bad feeling.
