So you guys think trump will throw blanks like a football at the people affected in the fires just like he threw paper towels at the people in PR?

He says he might have some tall ones. Might PM him and ask. It's a good set for any weather you might encounter.

Shot from my parents backyard in Anaheim hills. Its looking south across Anaheim Hills golf course. Dad told me they watched at least 3 homes burn on the ridge line out there

I bought mine from the army/navy store in Costa Mesa a couple years ago for cheap. Used it a couple times in Colorado at around 0 degrees and was toasty. I have a few bags but for the real serious stuff this one is it. The bivy sack is worth it alone IMO. A lot of people think a 20 degree bag will keep you warm in 20 degrees, not the case. It will keep you alive in 20 degrees big difference.

I was TRYING to convince my roommate that, "I was 5-6mi away from the fire line during the San Diego fire that broke out in early 2000. I was roughly 3mi from the 'staging area' of the fire trucks and just east of that was the fire, super thick smoke so bad you couldn't walk 50ft and start gasping for air AND it HURT breathing..." and still I get, "yeah but,..." and I finally said, "well, when it starts jumping from building to building (i.e. concrete, brick, etc) and catching the sidewalk and streets on fire, then I would start to worry..."!!! o_O:facepalm::frusty: Where @uhplifted Brian and @Airdog Tom's parents and @TXpro4X4 Bryan's client live, THEN I would worry as that is EXTREMELY CLOSE to grass/wooded areas!!! I mean, SERIOUSLY, W... T... F...???!!!

I just gave up on making common sense points about it and sort of "softly dropped" the pointless arguing!!! :annoyed::frusty::facepalm:

Most of the time I use the green one, once it drops to the low teens then I'll switch to the black one. Then if it ever drops to zero or below then I'll combine both with the bivy cover for the ultimate warmth

Well the fire has started moving towards me. It's on the hills above savi ranch shopping center. Small flames but they're there all right. Wind is very mild here. Hopefully it doesn't come any further
