I have purchase authority so, when I need to spend the money, I can. My guiding principles are to buy locally (so the money stays local) buy decent tools with a warranty and take care of them. I have 2 trucks, and 3 locations that people (me, 2 volunteers and one seasonal) work out of and, if we're bsing around talking about how often it'll be used or how much it costs, the job's not getting done or taking too long for lack of the right tools. Buy it, get it overwith and move on.

I thought I've seen it all living up here in the High Desert until today !!

While I was at my local Veterinarian with one of my cats I noticed four people on Horseback across the parking lot . I think nothing of it as I've seen people riding horses where I used to live . I then here one of the Vet Techs mention " there's horses in the drive thru of the restaurant"

I look up and sure as hell I see all 4 horses and riders all ordering food and getting there food at the drive up window . they were not walking their horses they were riding them

And if the storm had been farther east or west? Reminds me of the guys complaining after Superstorm Sandy hit. They were saying it was blown out of proportion. For you maybe, but what about most of Long Island and New Jersey? Wasn't blown out of proportion for them.

Just consider yourself lucky that the storm missed you and go about your day. Could have been MUCH worse.

Im thinking have lift cylinders, hooked to a rack, hooked to my RTT and I can lower it for driving and lift it for camping. It lifts 900lbs. That should be plenty enough.
