Congrats on your future escape from Commiefornia, we are far more vehicle, gun and tax friendly. My Brother lives in Wenatchee area with a few Toyota friends. That area will be an adjustment from Cali for sure.

 

Hey Everyone, Just poking in to say hello. I live in Portland OR, and just bought a 2005 PreRunner last month. I call this thread BS, will follow!

 

Well I sold the Yota. I know I might get some shit for this. But I turned it in for a 2014 Silverado. I loved the yota but I cant fit 2 car seats in the back seat. I wasn’t surprised but it was sold to someone at the dealership the next day. Guess Ill be seeing it around Spokane now

 

That's pretty much the standard response I hear for people selling. Baby seats are huge. Gripes me because it affects the industry and I miss the small utilitarian trucks of the 80s.

Should have got a double cab in trade. I fit my 5,6,7 year old in the back. With out issues

 

I fit 3 car seats in my double cab no problem. Two of them are for kids that are 4 and 2 and the other is for a 5 month old. We've found that if you spend a little more money and get a good compact seat they fit just fine.

 

I know you can. We wanted something a little bigger. And the fact that the Silverado get better gas mileage

 

I loved the size of the Tacoma, but I wish Toyota would put some R&D into gas mileage. Look what other companies are doing, trucks 2000 pounds heavier get same or better gas mileage.

 

My dad's new F350 diesel gets 18mpg, which is about the same or better than me. It also has 440 HP and 925 lb-ft of torque

 

I'm just repeating what I hear. My back seat usually has a guitar, a gun, or a horde of camping gear running across it

Anyone have a recommendation on where to buy a canopy? I live really close to NW Truck Accessories so I'll start there.

 

There's literally not a single canopy on the Portland Craigslist haha.

I wouldn't be surprised, I refer to it as the moon rocket. There's stupid amounts of tech packed in there.
I've also discovered I'm pretty crap when it comes to using reverse cameras to back up a trailer, ha.
