I've have Nissan's and Fords but decided to get a Tacoma. It's a 2017 TRD Sport 4x4. I've had it since December but due to a little fender bender I've decided it's a good time to do some mods. A have a Fab4 bumper on order and a 3 inch lift kit. Now I'm looking for wheels and tires. Trying to get up to speed with tire sizes and wheel offsets and back spacing has been daunting. I have the factory 265/65 17's with about 15k miles on them. Now what tires and wheels to get???. I'm working with my local 4 Wheel Parts store in WPB but I feel like I'm being thrown to the wolves. Any advice would be appreciated.

What has your search in the wheels/tires forum and/or the 3rd gen forum found for you?

A popular run is 255 80 17 on the stock wheels. No lift, no rubbing, no problem. Full 33".

    For a lift, I'd call Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road

    Hi Billy,
I never thought of that particular tire so thanks for that. I do very little off road except for driving on the beach on the Outer Banks. I'm having the truck lifted because coming from a Ford it seems like I'm driving a rice burner. I just like to sit a bit higher. I'd also like to go a bit wider because I like the look of the wider stance. I'm looking at 275 or even 285 70's.

    Welcome @Bosco53!

You’ll find it here on TW! There’s also a cool speedometer calculator/graph showing tire sizes and how it changes speed.

    Good luck!

You're smart to capitalize on the timing of a fender bender. Way to turn lemons into lemonade, so to speak. Feel free to give us a shout if we can help with anything. We can get almost anything and are happy to try and price match. Either way, Congrats and welcome to TW!!!
