    I can't for the life of me find the HOW TO for the 2nd Gen rear bumper removal! Can someone please give me a hand with this?

    this is for the people in the future searching for help. after you remove the six bolts (3 on each side) the bumper will still be sitting in place. it has 2 little grooves on the truck and 2 pins on the bumpers mounting point, the pins sit in the grove. thats there so its easier to install and take off. you need to lift the bumper slighty up toward the sky and out toward the rear and it will come off. first time I did it I was tripping, I though there was another bolt I couldnt find or something.

    does it mater if you have a hitch or not, because I have a hitch. So will removing the three bolts and the pins be enough for me to be able to remove the bumper??

    +1 the hitch does not need to be removed to take the bumper off, or to put it back on.

    did this today quick point the "pins" are only if you are removing the hitch also a rubber mallet and a little patience will get just the bumper off after you remove the two bolts that hold the reciever portion of the hitch and the two black bolts as shown in the thread the 10mm did not need to be removed on my truck or Raswank's. when re-installing come in from the top once the two bolts that are outside the bumper (the 3/4's) can be dropped in you just tighten those down till almost snug and they line the bumper up for you
