    Not enough...
Been traveling for work for weeks, plus it's been hot AF here, so didn't really get a chance to go anywhere until yesterday, but even that got fucked. lol. Drove for 3 hours to meet friends at this awesome spot, just to find out that they were all leaving today, instead of Monday (Columbus day), so i did a 24 hour camping trip that involved 6 hours of driving.

Anyway, more problems with the tent. Buckles on the security straps that hold the top and bottom together (addition to the crappy latches which were supposedly updated in consequent production runs) bent under pressure and it was a bitch and a half to unstrap them.... and strap them back up. Also, a few clips that attach fabric to the bottom pan of the shell came off, so i got that going for me.

Texted Bobby from CVT last week to get 411 on the replacement tent, but haven't heard back yet. Going to try again tomorrow, but at this point I am considering selling the replacement tent as soon as I get it and either look into iKamper or just go back to Mt. Shasta or something similar. As nice and easy as the hard shells are, they have a giant footprint and it has proven to be a bitch with PrInSu racks. Shell rack sits lower then the cab rack, so i had to use spacers, double stack cross bars, and now i took off the shell rack and have a regular Thule rack on the shell. Got it from a junk yard for $75, because it gives the most clearance. But even with 4-1/2" under the tent, the front of it is *still* hitting the PrInSu cab rack when i hit the bumps. Right now the top of the tent is sitting 3" higher than a folded Mt. Shasta was! No more parking garages for me.

Thanks, from their site it says it supports 250 lb. This is the rating for driving. For static weight while parked It does not give any figures, it says refer to vehicle rating. I bought this particular cover due to the aluminum and bar set-up. I think it distributes the weight more evenly, instead of just having cross bars attached to the rails in the bed. Once the tent is mounted however, I am not able to lift the top due to the struts not being heavy enough......not an issue for me.

Spent the night in Talladega NationL Forest during Tropical Storm Nate. High winds and lots of rain. I left all four windows open till about 6am, then i had to battened down the window that was on the wind side. I love my CVT. Check out both IGs, we had to cut our way out of TNF, went to run 600-2 sunday afternoon but some ahole left his truck blocking the road

Finally joined the RTT owners! A little too late in the year, but still got 2 nights in it this past weekend after getting screwed over by a rack vendor for 4 months. Tepui Autana Sky 3 on a KB Voodoo mid height rack with tonneau brackets. We spent the first night in Tumalo Oregon and the next night just north of La Pine Oregon. On the way through Bend we stopped at CVT and picked up an anti condensation mat and 2 single boot bags in tan.

    Drive to GA. Hahaha

I decided to build this: Toting the bike around was the biggest factor after the bike almost fell off the hitch carrier on a trail.

    That's my boy Blue!

I had a whole tour bus of asians trying to take pictures with it. Something about 4.8" tires mesmerizes anybody that sees it! With aired down tires (3 PSI!) and a 22 tooth chainring, you can pedal over damn near anything!

With a 22 tooth front ring, they are pretty easy to keep moving. Starting from a standstill, I do notice the fact that it is 37 pounds, plus a frame bag with a pump and spare, but I wouldn't say it is unmanageable. I was cleaning climbs this weekends that people on normal bikes couldn't thanks to the extra traction so it is a sort of "pick you battles" kind of bike. I rode it because I knew the trails were going to be deep sand or loose gravelly trails where my regular bike would be less fun. Once you get it rolling, it'll rip down the smooth singletrack areas of SoUT just fine too!

If you ever have to hike-a-bike it though, it is a bear to carry/push...especially compared to my all-carbon Bronson :D

I'm digging that bike bag too! You ever take your fatty on DH tracks?

I've taken it on some rougher "all-mountain" type stuff. I've never taken them on "enduro" or DH trails though, mainly because with a full rigid bike, I can't see it being super fun...and my Bronson eats those up just fine. Some models have a sus. fork on the front, and I think Trek (and Salsa?) even make a full squish. Those would be pretty fun I think!

Also, most lower end fatbikes are pretty tricky to setup tubeless, so the idea of having to fix a pinch flat on a tube that big would be a total buzzkill. Would need a shotgun bandolier full of CO2!

i didn't even connect the fact that it is rigid front. I don't know enough about fattys just seen some folks on them at the trails around here and they are always FLYING it seems like. I'm pretty new to the MTB world, but love it.

Some people hate on 'em pretty hard (mainly the "endur-bros"), but I have never seen someone that has ACTUALLY ridden one with anything less than a shit-eating grin the entire time!

The reason is some people try to compare them to full-squish long travel bikes, and that's a recipe for disappointment.

If you ever find yourself near Salt Lake City, feel free to come play around on it!

So the weekend of the 20th-22nd I will be using my setup for the first time. Any tips to make it painless? I’ve set it up a few times while building the trailer but have yet to sleep in it.
