I haven't read all the posts in this thread, but although I have used Harbor Freight since it came to be, I only recently found out how hard it is to cancel an order.

I ordered a impact hammer on line and realized I was going past the Harbor Freight store the next day and I needed the hammer ASAP. I called customer service within 20 minutes of the order and was told it takes about 2 hours to show up on the computers. I called back in 2 hours and was told by the customer service person I spoke to that the "computer" would not allow her in to cancel the order and it may be too late to cancel it. The person I spoke to said she would continue trying and send me an e-mail update when she found out. No e-mail ever came in that day.

I called back early the next day and got someone else. Explained the whole thing over again and she too said she would try to stop the order. If she couln't, she would send a return label via USPS and credit my card when the hammer got back to them. Four days in now and waiting for either information as to if the order was stopped, the tool itself and/or the return label.

I can't fathom that a cancellation could be so difficult at their end, especially if the call to do it was within just a few minutes.

Damn! Trailer kit sales are on hold at all stores. The tires have been recalled.

Lots of kits in local stocks, just unable to sell them. Store manager has no idea when replacement tires and wheels will show:(

Interesting! I was going to get one but I found this guy on Craigslist for $400. 3900lb axle with full size tires already. Supposedly built like 31 years ago. No soft spots and solid steel floor.

He was gonna keep the vice on but for $400 I felt bad and let him take it off.. Regrets.

I've been reading that their auto dimming welding mask is pretty great for a hobby welder welding stick/MIG. Anyone have experience with it first hand?

I have one- the blue flame one. I like it a lot. Can turn it off too so I can use it for grinding as well. The plain black one is on super sale right now.

Cool, thanks. I'm about to teach myself welding, and I'm pretty excited to get started. I've already watched probably 3-4 hours worth of videos on the basics, so now it's time to actually attempt it.

I still don't know how to weld I would say- but I made my CB antenna bracket, fixed some steel furniture for my inlaws, and done some other little projects all from watching YouTube. Picked up a Lincoln Tombstone stick welder off craigslist--- it is so addicting.

That's all I'm planning on doing. Just basic little projects; mostly brackets for various things on my truck. My first project is to weld together my DIY roof rack. It's already bolted together, but I want to weld it too so it's a bit more rigid.

I like it, it makes it especially easy when welding out of position under the truck

I have the one with red design. Seems to work good. I'm not blind yet. Only mask I've ever worn so couldn't tell you how it compares.

You definitely want a DUAL ACTION polisher or else you run the chance of screwing up your paint. I have the HF DA Polisher and it works great. I got the Chemical Guys pads. I was nervous at first but I've compounded, polished, and waxed several times on my black truck and it generally turns out well. (Depends on my rush)
