    Anyone want to explore Angeles forest/ san Gabriel mountains or whatever its called and OHV area for future reference, or does anyone have any information about them. Looking to explore some trails and find some primitive camp sites.

    When???
    The ohv area in azusa canyon is only open weekends and I don't think there are any trails in that area that are open outside of the ohv park. More towards la cresenta I think there are a few truck trails but not sure if they are open or about camping.

    Azusa is only open to vehicles with driven front and rear axles I believe. I've seen RAV4's there along with CRV's... If you're only front or rear driven, you get turned away at the gate.


    There are some normally "closed" trails in there, but you can arrange to pickup keys at the ranger stations to unlock the gates and get in. @Z50king did that recently that I know of. Look for his posts. I think it was Rincon trail.
