Ok so being with out power for 6 hours sucked ass. What generators would be good to have for running things like well water and possible fans or heater?

I have this one, bought it last year just before Hurricane Matthew, its quiet, and pretty fuel efficient. runs the AC on my camper quite well. has ampere/load gauge and hour meter built in the display. it ran for 50hrs, used 7.5 gallon of gas running couple fans, refrigerator, cell chargers and lights, only time you really heard it was when fridge compressors started up, half second of RPM surge. can hold a conversation over top of it running with out raising voice.

This is also available at Harbor Freight for a bit less under the Predator brand. (same as above only red) both can be Paralled with either the smaller 2000watt suitcase (5000watt) or with another of same for 7000watt. HF doesn't offer the parallel kit at this time

These are clones of the Honda U3000is

I’ve got a porter cable 10500 watt from Lowe’s I believe. It runs everything without even breaking a sweat

I seriously think I’m going to invest in a generac that’s wired directly when I buy a house next year. We had them at the last program I worked for and those things were so easy and worked so well.

This is what I've got. I ran this at my other house with everything but the washer and dryer and it never missed a beat. I chose this model particularly for the dual fuel function.

I had a tankless water heater and it was fine. I have not tested it in my new house.
