Vatanen is skating. Probably going to be traded. I was hoping for the leafs but not sure what the ducks want right now. Forward depth, but not sure a UFA JVR is enough especially with them maybe getting into cap trouble next year

 

actually looking at the ducks depth they are really deep everywhere except they are pathetically thin on LW, so maybe a deal would work there, but clearly JVR would have to be resigned or a conditional pick or something. Leafs then move Marleau in his spot and that would be a reason they kept him from playing with Matthews.

There was a more complete effort by the Leafs. Still some penalty trouble and Andersen was a bit shakey at times but the D kept the shot count around 20 and the offense still peppered the Chicago net, including a 3 goal run to win it in OT. If they play more games like that this season will be a good one.
