Thanks, I guess there's so many options and opinions, just have pick something and try it.

I gave the OP's front signals a go. Again, no hyperflash, they look great and are very bright. FYI, with headlights on, I have no parking lights. DRL's work, parking lights are DRL's and when I switch on headlights, they turn off. No big deal, actually looks clean without the light on. Signals still work as they should.

Yeah it really depends on the intensity you want. My back seat is full of work stuff so more light is better for me, within reason.

I don't have my truck yet, so trying to wrap my head around this. The new turn bulbs only function as turns with no parking light...they do not come on with the switch and only activate as turn signals? Actually, I can see that that would be a cleaner look. As long as there's no hyper flashing, not a deal breaker for me.

I must be the oddball of the bunch. When I installed the bulbs the the OP recommended I got the hyper flashing. After I installed the resistors it worked fine as long as my headlights were on, if my headlights were off it would not flash or light up at all. These are the resistors I used https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L4V9ECY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Any ideas?

Do you also have the rear turns LED installed? It sounds like all turn bulbs front and rear have to be replaced to LED or there will be hyper flashing. At least that's how I am interpreting what's going on. I still have at least a week left until I get my truck, hopefully I don't have these issues.

, guess I'll have lots of fun when I get to play with mine....maybe it has to do with mix and match with different brands of bulbs....like you said....Go Figure!! If I have to , I'll just get the inline plug and play resistors, a little more $, but I won't have to splice any wires.

Op has a TRD Sport with a Dedicated DRLs , and uses 7440 single filament turn signal bulb Just as your PRO). Looks like @Big Dustin with SR/SR5 uses different bulb, maybe 7443- dual filament , which also works as DRL

Mine hyperflashed as well. I took my rears out for now. Maybe I'll get around to install resistors sooner or later.
That's pretty strange, unless you mixed up the wires somehow :notsure:

Mine hyperflashed as well (with lights on). I took LEDs out for now, until I'll find will power to install the resistors

I'm glad your hyper flashing issue is resolved. Did you happen to wait until you replaced all turns to LED before you installed the resistors to see if that was the issue? From what I understand, you had the front ones in, realized you had hyper flashing, then you ordered the resistors and rear LED turn bulbs, just curious.
Thanks for the clarification, did not realize the SR and SR5 used turn bulbs for DRL, instead of dedicated LED DRLs, so that makes a big difference on the discussion.

@itsmermf I only replaced the front turn signals and have hyperflash now. Since it was only the front that I replaced, I was told to only add resistors to the front and it’d fix the issue. Since I ordered the 4pack, I just said I could now order the rear leds. I will be adding the resistors tomorrow morning and test and get back with you.

I do believe you're spot on. I actually like the amber light shutting off. It makes my hid's color shine more true. Pretty happy with these bulbs.

Hat would explain why some are getting hyper flash when replacing only the front and some aren’t. If your truck has 7440 turn indicators, you need to replace with 7440s. If your truck has 7443s, you need to replace with 7443s.

My Off road has 7440 turn signals. I replaced them with 7440 LED bulbs and I did not need resistors.

Hyper flash issue (front and rear) resolved. Added resistors to the front turn signals (only ones I replaced) and no more hyper flash using turn signal w/parking lights, with lows, or with lights off. Checked the rear and no flashing there either.:amen:

Mine is doing this too. I used the the bulbs OP suggested. When I put all four LEDs in, they hyperflashed. I installed resistors in the rear, and the hyperflashing stopped so I thought that was all I needed to do. Now, when the lights are off, it flashes once...sometimes, but doesn't work unless the lights are on. Oddly, when the engine is off but ignition is on, everything works fine.

What scares me is, I put the original bulb back in the front and it didn't resolve anything...meaning if I put resistors in the front it might not even resolve the issue.

    Anyone have any ideas?...

Those are the same resistors I installed on mine Caudizle. I have a 2017 off road double cab.

When I did mine I installed all the led's, front and back. To test them I hit the emergency flasher button; all flashed normally. So I thought I didn't need the resistors I purchased with the leds. Later when driving I got hyper flashing. The emergency flasher still worked normally.

I then installed the resistors on the rear and tested again without starting the truck (just hit the button twice without pressing the brake pedal). Everything worked fine, so I thought the rear resistors was enough to fool the ecm. but when I started the truck I got hyper flashing again. So I installed the front resistors and the hyper flashing went away.

I haven't tried to reproduce the problem to figure out what was going on, but they have been working fine for several months now.
