I always assumed the front bumper secured to it, but now I doubt it. Gonna have to crawl under a stock Taco and figure this shit out.

Doesn't look like the do much, unless they are there to prevent the plastic from sagging.

yeah I removed mine about a week after installing my bumper. Didn't notice them at first but kept thinking something looked funny. Then a buddy pointed them out as something that could get caught up or snagged while wheeling. Couldn't see any use for them so ditched them.

It doesn't touch the bumper. I have the stock bumper. Wonder if the 3rd gens have it on theirs?

It could be an installation aid for the factory, something that's used in an automated install perhaps. Unless it's intended to act as a deflector and keep debris out of the area.

I just got the same tires installed yesterday. First new tires on my tacoma. Loving them so far. Can't wait to try them out in the snow.

I'm glad you like them. They're awesome tires for the price, especially in wet conditions. Setting them at 32 psi rear and 30 front yields the most mileage and comfort for me.

Could use a touch more castor for your lift height. 3 degrees would be more ideal.

I put on a custom set of bed bars. Group buy for these coming soon. Available in 6” & 9” height, and for Tundras as well.
