I just bought my 2002 Toyota Tacoma LIMITED/TRD OFF-ROAD. She has 160,000 miles. My buddy and I are getting into professional detailing and have started working on the interior stains on the seat/carpet and will do a paint correction on the exterior and it looks so much better than when I bought it. Yes this is a Tacoma and I’m not afraid to take it off road but we’re just practicing the detailing for other cars we’ll get. My new truck has essentially no rust which is rare for Vermont vehicles especially this old. It’s been under coated every year with fluid film which I think I’ll continue to do since it seems like it’s worked very well. I’ve already put a new head unit stereo in and ordered white led lights for the interior lights and gage cluster because I can’t stand the orange. I bought it from my cousin and it sits on 265/75/R16’s. Please tell me what other modifications I should do! Free/cheap/expensive, whatever it is. I do want to get some custom TRD decals as well.

I’m also going to sand and polish the headlights to clear those up. I may end up replacing them if they fog up again. If so, should I go with OEM or aftermarket?

I love Vermont, been there plenty times as a kid, and not the last couple years but the few years before that every year we used to rent a cabin in central Vermont up in the mountains, many miles of dirt roads to access that spot.. good times.

I used to own Subaru's back then and I fondly recall taking my outback off road on a pretty gnarly trail and severely messing up my alignment and having to drive down to NH to get that fixed. Haha. I'll give props to the Outback though as it handled the fully snowed in very long farm / mountain driveway with ease..

Would love to take my new Taco up there in the future though :)

I couldn’t agree more. Vermont is awesome! I’m in southern Vermont which is great but the further north you go, the more fun it is! Lots of trails all over the state.
