It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
@ctfriel what are those studs/ where did you get them? do they replace that bolt or ??? thanks, setup looks good I'm goin to copy it.

i keep mine on most of the fall into winter when i do most of my camping. during the summer i take it off just to save some gas and so i can use the bed to haul dirt bikes. put it on and take it off for out of state track days.

i got the 200lb harken hoister and i have found its much easier to keep the tent attached and lift the rack off (with tent). i only use the rack when i need the tent.

but its probably 350+lbs with rack and tent so i dont advise this

They're just maxtrax mounting pins. I did use them to replace the carriage bolts.

My setup is a little different in that the tent is on a FRO rack. I have about 2" additional clearance. Mine works but I could see where it would hit otherwise.

No... or only a very tiny amount if spraying it with a pressure washer.

Did you have to drill additional holes for the rotopax? I bought the mounting plate, but it doesn't look like I need it.

I had to drill a few more extra holes. Measure twice!

What bed cover is this? Had to get rid of my tonneau when I mounted the rack. Worried about opportunistic theft etc.

I was able to get the Truxedo LoPro on with this rack. It took a lot of cutting and new holes but eventually got it on. Using @ctfriel posts and pictures and there was one other thread (look through my short post history) that gave me the cajones to go through with it. Only thing I have to do now is add some more weatherstripping and create some sort of support for the cover so that rain doesn't pool up on it.

Anyone know if the 58" long bed version will fit on a short bed? :spy:

I know the KBvoodoo rack has this option

You CAN fit the longer rack on a shortbed but it will extend past the front-most part of the accessory track and thus have to be drilled into the bed of the truck on that mount. That said, we have three lengths of racks 45" 51" 57", the middle size being primarily intended for full size trucks with 5.5' bed. You would have to special request that length but it is definitely a possibility if you wanted a little more length than the standard short bed rack.

Also, just a side note but we updated the rotopax mounting points on the rack so you can now install up to FOUR pack mounts, one on each quadrant of the rack.

Anybody have some way to mount a fly rod box on this rack, with a RTT as well? I love the rack but I’d like to get my fly box on there too.

Have any of y'all added a kayak rack to the short bed version? I am wanting to add my mountain bike to the side (which I know I can do) but really want to put my kayak on top. Looking at the pictures it looks like the kayak would not fit since the rack is a little low. Thank you for your feedback!

Does this rack work with kayak attachments? If so will it clear the cab enough to haul kayaks? I've been looking at the Victory 4X4 modular rack but the price has been keeping me at jumping to anything. They make an attachment to do so for kayaks, along with 1" tubing to attach for bike mounts, etc. Really looking for a rack to free up some bed space!!!
