Got my truck back today after getting an alignment. My friend said the specs were way off? Lol

Went for a quick drive earlier and I couldn't be happier with the ride quality. It doesn't feel stiffer and you can definitely feel the Bilsteins and OME coils do a better job absorbing imperfections in the road. When I had my stock suspension on I feel like my wheels and tires "bounce" over bumps sometimes. Also, I didn't experience any vibrations yet! I hope I didn't jinx anything lol

 

Not trying to HI-Jack the thread. Have read the first 15 pages of this thread and a ton on the suspension lift thread. Can someone that has around a 2007-2012 DCSB 4x4 V6 that went with the OME shocks and 885 coils give me a measurement from center of hub to bottom of front fender. Let me know what tires you run also. I bought this 2007 truck with a 3" rough country lift on the front and 2" blocks on the back. Wanting to see what the 885's will do as opposed to what I currently have. Im running 265-75-16 terra grapplers. Looks like I will see how the alignment works before I look at UCA's. Thanks RIck

 

You should get 2.5" of lift with a 4x4 and 885 coils. I got about 1.5" in the back with the AAL although I plan to run Dakars due to my RTT, rack and rear bumper.

 

it looks like your camber and caster is on point now. from what i can remember, 0 camber and toe 2.5 for caster is ideal. if rubbing then a little more caster. truck looks good for sure.

 

So I did something ... Went in for an oil change and left with a 2017 Off Road back in November 2017. I always said my first Pre-runner was my "starter" Tacoma but didn't realize how badass it would end up being. Main reason I pulled the trigger was because we're expecting our first child in July. That was my excuse at least haha...

 

Well that didn't last long. Six months old and just scheduled my first oil chance, less than 3k miles. Rear ended by an Expedition and pushed into an F150 with a steel rear bumper. They totaled it after all the front and rear end damage and the frame apparently "teepee'd" which I already had a feeling frame was bent or twisted just from looking at it. I walked away with not one scratch or ache that's the good thing to take away from this so I feel completely safe having my growing family in a Tacoma. Already signed and put a deposit down on a 2018 TRD Sport in Cement, waiting for it to be transferred from another location.

I feel good about this though I think this is the one, will post back here soon!

 

Dang! Well hope third time is a charm and glad you walked away! Must say I do like the look of cement.

 

Thanks man, I had actually just installed the car seat in it before I left the house. Was just testing it out before the baby comes in July and needless to say it passed haha.
I fell in love with cement when it came out but never thought I would have the chance to get it, so glad they offer it on TRD models now and not just the pro.

 

Picking up today and will leave this thread alone for what it was intended for. I will more than likely make a new thread for my history so far with Tacoma's.
