Ok, for our 2 year anniversary I bought my wife tickets to see Maroon 5 in Houston with a two night stay at a Hotel near the Toyota Center.

She has been pissed for the past 4 years that she missed them in Albuquerque after her friend backed into a poll and caused them to miss the concert.

I have heard a few of their songs. They seem to be pretty cool. What do you guys know about Maroon 5? Are they any good in concert?

In March we saw the Red Hot Chili Peppers at the Toyota Center, so I know we are getting into a good venue, but I don't know about the band.

Do you guys think this will be a good enough anniversary present?

WooHoo! :bananadance: I hope they are good live. I just downloaded some of their songs. Some of it is a bit too whiney for me, but it sounds like they've got talent.

Oh yeah you scored.. some GREAT... points.... The ladies.. seem to really like Maroon 5... Mostly I think cause they (being ladies) think the lead singer is cute and they go wild over a cute guy that can sing.. at least thats what I get out of it anyways..

You did a fine job. I'm a fan of Maroon 5. Their first CD is much better than their last. Just make the night all about her and you'll be in for the win!

Ok 007, im gonna help you out here. here are some tips for mackin on the ladies....

    1) talk about yourself constantly. Chicks spend all day with themselves and if they are anything like me then they get real tired of how they never shut up, they wanna hear all about you and you alone. feel free to brag alot, chicks dig that

    2) dont be funny, girls hate a sense of humor. If they wanted funny they would date clowns (but as we know everyone hates clowns) Be very serious all the time and try to never smile, broads love that (they also love being called broads)

    3) Fart at the dinner talbe. This sets the pace for your relationship. If you dont fart on the first date, she'll expect you not to fart around her ever. You let her know right off the bat that you have gas and will let it out whenever you deem necessary.

    4) Make her pay for her half of dinner (this also sets the pace for the rest of the relationship)

    5) Be upfront with her. let her know you expect to get some action for taking her out (there's no such thing as a free lunch sista!) Also let her know that you are lazy and expect her to do most of the work in the bedroom and that you will probably want a sandwhich afterwards.

    6) Don't make eye contact, make boob contact. if you consistantly stare at her boobs it lets her know what you want without you even having to tell her. It's called body language, i learned that while getting my psych degree

7)Finally and most importantly.... For some reason, all of my dates try to "escape" at some point. I still havent figured out why.... but when she excuses herself to go to the bathroom, this is sometimes a trick so she can call a taxi. Whenever she "excuses" herself make sure you follow very close behind her so she knows your there... constantly watching her every move. Always try to position yourself between her and any possible point of exit, personally i try to keep my ladies in a corner. Also, when in the car, make sure the doors are locked so they don't jump out.

Now follow all of my rules and you should be set for your date, she wont be able to resist your charm... expecially if you force it on her

believe me, there's nothing funny about "Nate's 7 steps to a perfect date" I know thats alot of info and being a rookie with the ladies you might not be able to do it all, but try to at least use 3 or 4 of them. If you use any of them let me know how they work out for you. i could use some real life feedback before i try to get my book published :)

And this ladies and gentleman, is a prime example of how way off topic these threads can get.... sometimes i amaze even myself :)

No, our first anniversary is August 5th, and our other anniversary is November 4th. The concert isn't till October 26th in Houston.

Damn 007, how many anniversaries do you have? thats too many dates to remember. I'm not kidding when i say i cant even remember anyone in my families birthdays. the only birthdays i've ever learned were girlfriends, and thats cause they made me. and the only reason i ever remembered anniversaries was cause they were cool enough to make them easy. My last girlfriend said we should just say the day before easter is our anniversary. it was easy to remember, and after she moved off to vet school that was one date she was guaranteed to be back so we could celebrate it.

Jennifer and I eloped on November 4, 2005. Her father paid for a big wedding last year August 5, 2006. I don't have to remember the dates, I have Microsoft Outlook and a month early reminder for that. :D
