Have any of you guys had issues with your steering giving you feedback/jolt/clunking whenever you go over anything rough; speed bump, pot hole, etc... I had a trusted mechanic look at it but he said he couldn't find anything but slight movement in my steering shaft in the engine bay on the other side of the firewall, which he said isn't loose enough to think anything is wrong. I had this issue before I put new rims and tires and a leveling kit on it so I know it isn't that. And I don't think anything of it because its only annoying. Is this even an issue? Or is this how Tacoma's are? I have read some things about them not having the tightest feeling steering off-road. Any suggestions??!

I'm sure you've heard my speal about them once or twice. From what I've seen the bumpers quality just isn't up to par with those other guys out west. The pricing is about the same minus shipping so I'd rather pay the extra shipping and get a better looking/functional bumper

Bring it to Mod Day and we'll take a look  But I wouldn't be the best guy to tell you, never owned a stock Tacoma nor ridden in one :anonymous:

My flat black wheels came with flat black lug nuts, but since I've got the chrome logos, rear bumper, and grille, I got chrome nuts installed to match. Eventually, I wanna delete all that shit and black it out. I guess plastidip is the best bet?

Also, what's a good mud flap alternative because without my front ones, my truck stays dirty now....I guess just bigger fender flares? Or do I just need to suck it up and live with it?

I blacked everything out on my truck but kept the chrome lug nuts- I kinda like it. If I go F5 wheels I may change em tho

Did you plastidip everything? I've never used that stuff before...on my previous 2 Tacos, I just used spray paint.

I just ordered the color matched grill surround from camelback toyota on here, and sold my chrome one on ebay. Think i got $90 for the chrome one or something like that? I dipped my rear bumper with the anthracite color to see what it would look like... looked good, almost matched, so I have left it on there.

I dipped the wheels, but left lugs chrome and the toyota emblem in the center caps chrome. It looks good, took some time, probably need to touch up some spots but holds up through weather and car washes.

Nah just paint it if you don't plan on going back. It looks a lot better IMO.

Uh you could try bushwackers since they are bigger but I suggest just suck it up and wash the truck every now and then haha. Bushwackers are also super expensive

Well, after hearing all that about SOS and Relentless being on backorder, I'm gonna go with BAMF.

I like the sound of just sucking it up. I looked up bushwackers before...they real proud of their shit lol.

    Wait, wut? I need details!

I dipped my wheels, bumper valence, and flares a few years ago. Edge of the wheels started peeling from tire mounting so I cut the rim out. Flares are peeling too, but only because I re-sprayed them without properly cleaning them (plasti dip doesn't like to stick to old worn plasti dip). Oh, and I did an experiment with the chrome rear bumper by using plasti dip as a primer and painting/clear coating over it. Seems to work as long as you don't stick anything strong to it like duct tape.

I had my wheels dipped (sport alloys) and then decided to make permanent with duplicolor wheel paint.... my plasitdip looked and held up better honestly.

Yup that's some of his work and why I turn people away. Both of Travis' bumpers were messed up. Thomas' current front is messed up as was his rear before he sold it. Bryan's old front was messed up and he now has a Pelfreybilt. But yeah I'll pay extra for a better looking one and better customer service
