Well here's the wind deflector. It still needs a lot of work though

To all the sticker guys out there how should I arrange these. I'm making a wind deflector 17" x 51" for my RTT and I have a lot of room to work with. I don't need all of them on there just wondering what would look best.

At first I was going to say man you suck at painting. But then I see it's a reflection.

It actually came out pretty bad cuz the wind was kicking up and dirt got all over it. Oh well, luckily that's the back side lol

That's why I always textured bed spray. You can see dirt or dog hair as bad.

But that piece would probably look weird painted with that stuff.

If I was doing those decals I'd probably do two columns on the passenger edge and taper them smallest on top.

Or if that looks weird put all the big ones first in a column then the small ones next to it?

I use rustoleam gloss black enamel on everything. Easy to find at any hardware store and holds up well. As long as its prepped correctly. I ran it on my gas tank skid and still looks good after a wash

Maybe like this? I don't know how they compare to the deflector size though.

I suck at prepping for rustoleum. Whenever I use it it takes 3 days to dry.

In fact everything I've ever painted with it has fingerprints. :censored:

I do and I dont like sticker bombing things. Its kind of childish. Or do it, and then look back at a clean slate.

Mike, text me your address, and Ill send you some leftover stickers. If you want.

Is that fairing steel? I thought you were going to do aluminum

He lives in Montana. Must be steel for the bears to bounce off.

Yeah its all steel. I get good pricing on it here. I wish I had a spool gun for aluminum though. That would be nice and light weight. I think this thing weighs 40lbs easily

could you have riveted a piece of aluminum to the steel to save weight?

I could have but cost of aluminum is 3 times the cost of steel. Also being the type of project it is, I didn't want to spend a lot on it
