I didn’t realize there is some frame cutting involved to install an ARB on first gens

Why does it need frame cutting?

There is frame cutting for all but trail gear bumpers for the 98-00 tacoma. The front frame is ~3" longer than the 95-97 and 01-04

4x innovations is bolt on when I asked them. But ARB is cheaper than theirs, ARBs are already powdercoated with free shipping. It’d be like $500 more for theirs.

From the videos I saw you cut the front section of the frame off where the factory crush cans are. Then bolt on the ARB crush cans to the end of the frame, and attach the ARB to those brackets.

Gotta cut the frame horns off the front of the 95-97 or 98-00 can't remember which.

98-00. Apparently I have a weird year where Toyota was like, “Let’s Viagra that bitch and add 3 inches,”

01-04 are the best looking Tacoma’s IMO. But I also think the 95.5-97 with the square headlights look gross

From my research, a lot of people that install ARB bumpers also do the end cap mod to the frame for reinforcement. Looks like I’m gonna have to talk to a fab shop
