Shoot I wax mine now *because* of the pinstripes. Gotta stave off the rust!

Look into the colored Turtle Wax. I think you could use the red one on yours. Really helps fill in and hide pin stripes.

 

I've used Turtle Wax products on nearly all my vehicles.

I don't buy into the boutique junk hype.
Already have the white/light green stuff on hand. All I've ever used

 

Also using normal run of the mill turtle wax with a $20 orbital buffer from autozone. Shines it up real good with minimal effort from me

 

I need a good buff job. Where's @presta24?!?!?!

@dirty deeds why not use the mount that comes with that antenna to mount it here?

 

I considered something similar. But....that bracket in that location left the coax in a very vulnerable situation.

I had an epiphany of sorts a few days ago about how to make a very simple bracket for the front inside corner of the bed. That's where my antenna is now. The bracket I have now works pretty well. Just wanting something a little better. I get SWR on both high and low frequencies below 1.0, which is more than acceptable. I use steel flat stock. It grounds better than aluminum.

 

For now I stuck it here. After I get my RTT, i may reconsider.

We don't have to do them now if you're busy. I'd like to get them before the meet but i'm flexible with whatever works best for you. Don't want to have to rush you.
