I'm just across the island from you tonight. Anchored just south of the GWB.

I'm in our lab in a construction trailer along the shore of Astoria, just across from Randalls/Wards Island. We do net sets every 1.5 hours; if we don't catch too many fish, I have a little free time in between.

Finally back from my 3 day weekend. Yesterday's activities included attending the fair. Indulging in good amounts of food, watching horse races, a few brewski's and finished with fresh cinnamon rolls.

We can, or tens. 8’s if we don’t want any overtime. Every Saturday is a 12. Sometimes I work a bunch of overtime, and sometimes I don’t work hardly any. I’ve been in the hardly any category here lately. It kind of depends what’s going on for overtime, for me.

We do 12's regardless, so every other Saturday is mostly OT.

I actually prefer to work 12's if they're during the day, it's a pretty rough lifestyle working them at night.

I wish we would go to a 12 hour schedule, and do away with these 7 days in a row. I’d take that in a heartbeat.

    I hate 11pm-11am, and 3am-3pm. Just about every other configuration of a 12 hour shift, I’m fine with. (7am-7pm, 3pm-3am, 7pm-7am, 11am-11pm etc)

We're all 6-6, one side of the clock or the other.

It's probably the best way to do it, really. Nobody gets screwed too badly.

There’s no Day shift on Saturday, so when we work nights we work Friday night 11pm to Saturday 11am, and on evenings we come in at 11am. They are talking about doing that on Sundays too, and giving us an extra Sunday off. That would be fine by me.

I would get a Friday, Saturday and Sunday off, then work 5 days, then 5 days off for long change.

Ooh, that 11p-11a would be rough! A 5 on / 5 off schedule wouldn't be too bad though.

On 12's for me at least, it takes about a day just to get my shit back together!
