Rode down to the police road block this evening, could see a little active smoke coming up as I rode over the over pass. Cops seemed very relaxed and fully stocked (I offered to run and grab them some drinks/food if they wanted but they had a huge stack of both), told me 'it's coming' but wind was a very light breeze heading NE so mostly blowing back at the fire. Thinking Fairfield fire might be getting contained, have trailer ready to finish packing, everything else we can think of ready to throw in the truck if need be. Relaxing our panic a little bit. Wife and kids staying at parents house in WC until air quality/threat of fire lessens.

I'd love too have drinks and do stupid things but I have too get up in four hours and drive to work again. Only for beers a night. That's my limit unless I start the whiskey thing.

I'm not sure where you're at but let me know if you need help. I've got my taco or a big f250 depending on the needs.

I appreciate it but I'm pretty ready to skedaddle if need be, and Danny is giving me a pick up/ride back to grab my bike if shit hits the fan.

Be careful, winds can switch west/ northwest at any given time.

And I was in Walnut Creek this morning. Air was terrible. Couldn't even come close to seeing mt diablo from the 24/680 interchange

Yeah air quality is just shit at this point in NorCal. Winds were supposed to be blowing hard since 11 this morning SW, but it never really kicked in. Hoping it stays blowing north to cut down on fire spread.

I'm glad I could get a rise out of this fucked up time here in Rosa. Im just wanting to help where I can. What I've done hasnt satisfied what I feel like i need to do. I'm offering my house for use, as you guys have seen, and I honestly can't offer enough. If anyone up here needs anything, again, I'm here just past the south end of the evac zone! Ive got a f250 and access to an 8ft trailer. If you have friends who don't have access to the internet pm me and I'll do what I can

One thing the fires have reminded me of is the need to always be ready to go and to have radios charged too.

Bet his friends thought the caveman who invented the wheel was a weirdo, probably was too. The world needs weirdos, like Socrates, Galileo, Van Gough, Einstein, Tesla, Copernicus, Shakespeare, Confucius. Some wierdo probably probably started Toyota.

Anyone seeing tanker drops around Santa Rosa?
Where are the fire lines around the city?

I hear something like 2.5 mil gallons have been dropped in ca since Sunday. I forgot how many gallons per drop but that's gotta be expensive!
