I need the assistance of DCSB owners with vented windoors on an ARE shell. ARE is telling my local cap dealer that they cannot configure any of their caps with vented windoors for a DCSB Tacoma. I know this is not true, and it's ridiculous that I have to go to such great lengths to buy their product. I've seen this configuration on the road and I've seen pics here on TW.

I'm only going to spend the large sum of money on a CX or V series if I can get the vented windoors. Can those that have this setup please help me out by providing your cap's registration number for proof to ARE that this actually has been done in the past? You can post it here or message me. I greatly appreciate it.

I'm not opposed to Leer shells, but I've only seen this done on the 100XR once.

Edit: It would also be a great help to know of a New England based dealer that you went through.

They told me the same thing, and I finally just settled for a solid windoor. Honestly, the sliding portion of the door would be way too small on our shortbed cab to make any difference.

I gave in and did the same. IMO the windoors look much better with the sliding portion...but the windoors themselves are slick too.

Yeah, not sure why they do this. They must make money hand over fist to not care to go above and beyond for their customers.

Did you buy your shell at Catamount in Williston? I just purchased a dcsb leer from Addon and could have gotten vented windoors but choose non vented. Was your cap cab or midrise?

Manufacturers really could care less about customers.

Leer, ARE, SnugTop.. all have a horrible track record of bending over customers. Research dealers and buy one who has the best history. You’ll need them to be the middle man if you get a bad product. The manufacturers do not care and do not deal with end users.

No I didn't go through them, but good to know.

I'm aware of the reality. I just hate when this is the case because no product offering should dismiss the need for excellent customer service.

No doubt. Especially when you’re spending thousands and sometimes with a waiting period.

    Alas.
