    I will try it.
But its just unusual to me how it could be the rear causing the shudder when it will be completely smooth if the truck is in 4HI.

    yep..
Let us know. You may be able to loosen the u bolts and stick a piece of metal in there for a quick drive (very quick).

For a 2 degree angle, you will want it to be 0.175" thick.

    2xtan(5)=0.175"

    1.5xtan(5)= 0.13" thick for 1.5 degrees

    Hopefully it works for you.

    Edit:

A quick way to rule it out is load a bunch of weight in the back and get it sagged back to stock height/angles. Now take a drive and see if it still shudders.

Am going to order 1.5° and 2° rear pinion shims to see if that does anything. Stay tuned, will update

Got my 887s on today with 1/4" driver side spacer, set at 0" with my Bilstein 5100s. Went smooth and got almost another half an inch of lift from the 5100s with stock springs set at 2.5". Also rides muuch smoother. Great upgrade. Still a 7/8" forward rake measured at the fenders, will just order small top plate spacers now if i ever feel like i want to raise the front more.

I have dakars on my truck and the only thing that made my truck smoother was 3 bags of gravel in the bed. But there still is a slight shutter. I have tried shims of various degrees with no luck and CB drops up to an inch. Replaced all u joints and new CB from spicer. Even tried filling the CB with silicone.
Shutter is just something to live with after lifting. I have wasted lots of time with it. Hopefully u will have better luck.
    Way more fun doing this.

I have the OEM one, don't really like dropping the drive shaft much since the first u joint off the transfer case is like 4 degrees already. Things might get better if u drop both the CB and the transfer case down.

What did you go with the 4 inch diameter? Did you cut out the cross member? One day that will be the solution for me. I don't like making permanent changes like cutting stuff, but it sounds like 1 piece is the solution. Although I may try for a aluminum shaft.

    Where are the pictures?

Just cut out one of the two brackets that the carrier bearing would bolt to, off of the crossmember, they are already welded on stock. On full flex it had a very slight chance to hit the bracket. Pic of the shaft in the OP, i can take installed pics later

Yeah pictures of it installed would be good, curious of the cross member cuts. You get any highway vibration?

Crossmember didnt need to be cut, just the bracket that was welded onto the crossmember. Got it up to 75mph last night havent gone any faster yet, runs like a champ. Also, still have the 2° axle shims installed

Right on man, good luck, let me know how it goes. Keep the driveline angles in mind, rear axle may need to be shimmed slightly in order to achieve proper angles

Will do I have a 2.5 degree shim in pointing the pinion towards the transfer case. So i should have a small angle that will get smaller when loaded.

Ended up pulling the long overload on my Dakar pack, dropped the rear an inch, fixed most of my vibration, still holding off on the one piece. Will see how long i go before changing it.
