    Has anyone used a kensun hid kit from Amazon? I will be installing it in a 2017 trd sport-stock.

    How do they perform down road. I have leds now and they don’t shine down the road well.

    They are great, much whiter (mine are 5000k)and brighter with good cutoff in our projectors, I'm happy with them.

    Are you using the relay harness or the cancler?

    No, but I have an sr so maybe I wouldn't get warnings to have to use canceler. As for relay harness, I've only used one once with a different brand I tried because of flicker(didn't help) I guess I probably should be but I didn't have one at the time, I happened to have new kit at the house when I brought home my Taco.

    I’m about to order my lights but not sure what color? My fogs and high beams are 6000k but wondering if I get 5000k low beams if I’m going to see a difference.

    I had them in my S10, have them in 4Runner now and like them better than the Morimoto in my 3rd gen Taco! More color options also. Excellent CS included with them. Morimoto CS is meh....

    I really don't know but I have 5000k hid's in my Taco and kensun 6000k leds in my wife's camry and only difference I can tell is the camry light don't seem to throw as far but colorwise they seem the same, I doubt you would notice much but I do know that 5000k leds are hard to come by if they don't match so you might just want to go with 6000k.

    LOVE kensun!!!! Had them in many vehicles and work great and great customer service. I did the morimoto projector mod and didn't realize you had to use their bulbs too haha so I cut up my kensun bulbs to make them work inside the morimoto projectors and they are great in there too!!!

    Here are pictures. I also have their LED in my fogs. I'll get picture of the cut off and beam tonight when I leave work. I use the fogs as my DRL too

    @2017 tacoma sport

    Here are some pictures I took of mine. The first is just my orange DRL. Second of each set is just fog lights (led kensun 5k). Third is just headlight low beams (kensun 55w 5k). Fourth is combined.

    Did you use a relay harness with the 55w hid kit?

    Apologies for my noobness but what's a relay harness? What do you need it for? I installed this kit however I would recommend doing the bi-xenon instead of what I got. Not sure if that kit has a built in harness but it's straight up plug and play. The one I got had a regular halogen bulb for the high beam is it BLOWS! But the bulbs are so bright you really don't need high beams at all. Other than using them to signal a cop ahead or allowing a semi to change lanes I've never used my high beams.

    I guess I shouldn't have bragged on my kensun's, got in the truck this morning and my passenger side head light wouldn't light, Im hoping it's a ballast I have a few of those, but I don't have any extra h11 bulbs.
    Edit: update must have been loose connection, I plugged in old bulb I had and it lit, so I plugged headlight back in, and it's working fine now.

    A Relay Harness is typically used with an HID conversion kit to run power to the kit directly from the vehicle's battery, rather than just relying on a connection to the OEM headlight wiring to provide the power. We generally find them more commonly needed for older vehicles, or where you are not going to be getting a steady 12V signal to that particular headlight all the time (like in cases where you have a Daytime Running Light sharing that same bulb).

    Ahh thanks for the info. So yeah I didn't install any relay or anything. Just simply plugged in everything that came with the kit and it's worked great since. Although like I said I would recommend the bi-xenon kit vs the kit I got. The high beams suck on the version I got.

    I installed a bi-xenon kit in my dad's 2014 tundra, it's pretty cool, the bulbs actually move in and out changing the focus point, they don't get brighter(atleast his didn't) but definitely throw further like high beams should, and he's had his kensun kit since 2014 and we haven't replaced anything on it, and they are still going good.
