    YES I SEARCHED :kona:

It seems like every taco flavor has it's own special sprinkling of zerks.

    I have a 1995 1/2 4wd V6 xtra cab.

Does anyone know what I really need to grease?

Mostly I just want to make sure I don't miss anything...I'd rather grease my driveshaft now than replace it in 10k miles...

Every u-joint in your drive-line (front an rear) should have one. They can be hard to see, when covered with grime. You gotta just crawl under there, with a rag, and look. Sometimes they are pointed up so you can't see them, so you have to move the truck a little to rotate the drive-shaft until they are pointed down.

you need a grease gun and NGLI #2 grease. I like the amsoil stuff, but anything that meets the spec is ok. Your FLAPS will have plenty of options. Spend the extra $2 for good stuff please.

I think the factory states that there are two types of grease needed - one is lithium based, the other non-lithium (for the cardan joint maybe?) - but I am just using the same NGLI #2 in all locations.

thanks...my truck doesn't look like this, exactly.

I guess I'll just crawl under there and do the best I can.

The Universal Joints get NLGI 2 Lithium Base Grease, all other zerks get NLGI 2 Molybdenum Disulfide grease...is what I’ve read.

A grease gun will have a universal nozzle on it that snugly attaches to the zerks and allows you to pump grease into them. It can get messy, I also recommend wearing safety goggles when crawling under the truck looking for the zerks...the dirt and grime falling onto your face and into your eyes is no fun

You can go until it squeezes out except for the slip yoke if you have 4x4 - then a few pumps is good. After you've done enough you can start to feel the resistance from when all the air is forced out and can stop before you see it ooze out.

Great. Just did all 9 fittings and the 2 slip yokes are just as you said. Thanks.

FYI - the factory service manual shows 7 locations on my 95, which is what I saw when I crawled under the truck.
