One thing the fires have reminded me of is the need to always be ready to go and to have radios charged too.

Bet his friends thought the caveman who invented the wheel was a weirdo, probably was too. The world needs weirdos, like Socrates, Galileo, Van Gough, Einstein, Tesla, Copernicus, Shakespeare, Confucius. Some wierdo probably probably started Toyota.

Anyone seeing tanker drops around Santa Rosa?
Where are the fire lines around the city?

I hear something like 2.5 mil gallons have been dropped in ca since Sunday. I forgot how many gallons per drop but that's gotta be expensive!

Fucking huge balls of titanium. Heroes all.

They were running in and out of McClellan in a conga line today. DC10s and the 74. I heard there were a record number of missions today.

I work over by Arden in sac and I have been watching most of the planes take off and land from my window at work all week.. the super tanker is absolutely incredible. Wish we didn’t need it but I’m glad it’s here at least.

And please let me know if anytime needs any help. I might be in sac but I’m more than happy to drive somewhere to help out. My brother lives in Penn Valley and his house was in between the lobo fire and McCourntey, but those seem to be dying down now.
But please, let me know if any of you need assistance! I almost lost everything in the king fire a few years ago.. I know how it goes

I saw them constantly landing and taking off at lunch time yesterday. Haven't seen action like that at McClellan in a long time.
