Yup, same here. I just try to be one step above the kids so I wear darker jeans and a polo or sweater during the school year. Summer and vacations is shorts and a t-shirt or whatever lousy jeans and t-shirts I have.

My thinking is I could spend a day at my desk or I could spend hours in a ceiling, so I can't justify anything that won't hold up.

If I'm reading correctly, $55 for a 52" LED bar. Even for low quality LED light bars, that's cheap.

BTW how much time does MLB let chapman take between pitches? He was over 50 seconds last night for standard pitches...and wow that ump had a NY Liberal strike zone..

The "liberal" strike zone was going both ways. Saw a lot of pitches that were "doubtful" strikes. But it was only obvious thanks to that stupid strike zone area that Fox likes to put on the screen.

 

Baseball. Fun to play, usually pretty to watch. I'll catch a minor league game or two in Portland every summer, but the pro games are

 

Every pro sporting event is turning into with reviews and challenges of every other play...

 

If they are going to allow umpires to call balls and strikes there is going to be a debate about balls and strikes...I want the K-zone up for every pitch. It never fails that when we get to the playoffs they will go for stretches without the K-zone and debate the pitch...just show the K-zone and end the argument...

 

Yeah... but then you're getting into a "sketchy" area about the umps, etc, and calling stuff.

Take the human element out of the game, which in my opinion is what's good about baseball. Some things just aren't worth getting technology into, to help. Balls and strikes is one of them.

 

Ugh, tell me about it. The fact that the refs are stopping football games now to review a play drives me nuts. It stalls SO many drives now. The offense has momentum, they're going no-huddle and lining up to snap the ball to catch the defense on their heels, aaand the refs blow the whistle, stop the game, give the defense a chance to catch their breath and get organized while they review the previous play that was an obvious completion or an obvious first down.

 

I can't stand that every scoring play and turnover is reviewed. If it's a close call, the ref is just going to call it a touchdown or interception just so they can review it.
Coaches basically never have to even use their challenges anymore. Or, when they actually want to, they can't because the wind was blowing north to south and therefore is a non-challengeable play.

I have said it multiple times and I will say it again, if the government wants to build a god damned wall, put it on MA's Nothern border.
