5100 question

I just ordered a set of Billy 5100's to lift my 07 1.75". My question is, do I need to also put on the spacer to prevent the taco lean, or am I ok because I am using my stock springs?

if anything get the 1/4" toytec spacer to fix the lean. only thing is you will need longer screws in the top plate mount to accomodate the spacer

 

Actually, I don't think you do need longer studs for the 1/4" plate.

Is your truck level now? I'd probably buy the spacer and put it in. It's only $20 and easy to take out if you change your mind.

Id recommend getting the 1/4 inch spacer. After putting 5100s on my truck the lean is more pronounced. Just be sure to have it handy when you compress your springs. I bought mine after the fact, not realising id have to recompress the springs to install it, which I still have yet to do.

 

The Toytec 1/4" spacer installs between the top of the coilover assembly and the frame mounting bracket. It's not necessary to disassemble the coilover to install the spacer and the existing studs are long enough.

 

You don't have to re-compress the springs. It loosely nestles between the three top nuts and gets sandwiched between the top plate of the strut assembly and the mounting bracket. It's a 30 minute job.

 

News to me. I was told otherwise, its been sitting on my bench for a week. thanks! I've got a new project....even if its a 30 minute job.

i set mine to 2.5 and the lean is barely noticeable.

 

my lean is only 1/8th of an inch...not a big deal at all...the rear is worse than the front
