So much this. Launching on a hill.

It did seem better at first drive. I really want to put a load on it and try this, that's one of the biggest things that's bothered me. I don't tow a lot but this could definitely improve the trucks.

I think I’m going to try the C map on 87 once if run through the rest of my tank of 93. I still only have about 75 miles on A but I am noticing the 1st gear kick more as it is quite aggressive - which I’m sure some folks love and is why he provided options ;). I still love this tune overall but curiosity calls... ha!

Has ANYone driven A (all gears) and C (2-5 gears) for a comparison as of yet?

Yup. Ran it with 93 for about 3/4 tank, then filled up with 87. Did not notice any difference with every day driving.

That is awesome. I expected there to be a little difference in power, but it's nice to hear that difference isn't very noticeable.

I'm hoping for the same, I'd like the xtra power but if I can't feel much of a difference
I'd rather not give the xtra cash at the pump.

And in South Florida the price difference between 93 and 87 is about $.70 per gallon.

About the same depending on where you fill up here in CT as well. When I fill up at least once and sometimes twice a week it makes a difference.

I tested with shift C and 1st gear is much softer. Try with C.

Here's what I've experienced with the 3 versions.

A - Overall refined where it smoothly holds gears just a tad longer than stock, meaning the transmission is not as eager to jump to next gear.

B - Refined gears 1-4, but once you are in 4th, it is super eager to go into 5th then 6th even at 42mph. In fact, it will also lock the TC in 6th at 42mph. This is great for those that live in flat lands and can keep steady at 45mph for majority of the trip, saves gas greatly.

C - Soft 1st gear, very eager to jump early to 2nd, then it holds gears a bit. I'm not sure who would want this really because it gives a feeling of being "slow" yet in mid range it is quite refined and will hold 4th longer than stock. Perhaps this is for those that get a bump in 1st with the slow right turns situation.

Sounds like I'll learn to modulate the throttle to avoid that kick. :)

    Thanks for the feedback!

Does it make a difference that your a 4x2 vs 4x4? Maybe it doesn't since the Camry is also 4x2 but that is just one question that came to mind.

Also I am curious about how this mod is working for the folks that have modded with bigger tires, sliders bumpers, RTTs etc..

I can tell you that with my 35's, stock 4.30 gears, full armor and RTT, there is a massive difference between stock and 1.01b (still waiting for 1.02c). My fuel economy has gone from 13mpg at 70mph to 17mpg at 75mph and I can still accelerate from there whereas before, 70 was all she had and if I had a headwind before the tune, I couldn't get above 65 and 10mpg.

I would say it only makes a difference due to a 4x4 being heavier. Shift pattern behavior should be identical between the 2 since pavement driving is in 2wd Hi anyway.

Would that be afternoon east coast time or west coast time? I'm like a 5 year old waiting for Santa Clause here.

 This right here may make me buy this tune. With my armor, tent, bumpers and 32" tires my MPG @75 suffers. If you are seeing 17 with 35s I would expect even better with my 32s. I currently get about 15 to 16 at 75.
