I'm sure there will be a group that stays on green and blue trails. You can do 7 to 8 hour loop just on them. Pure stock will cruise through that. I'd suggest that route. You'll be just fine and have a good time.

BTW.... Planning my route tonight. Whoever goes on this will cover a full loooong day's ride, see all the good sites I know about, and explore a few red trails I haven't been on yet. If this goes as planned, will leave campground between 8 and 9 am Saturday. Will cover maximum distance and be back at camp before sunset. Stop for lunch between noon and 1. Not a ball buster, but I'd like to make this a bit more of a challenge than past years.

Hoping the Saturday morning group would include most/all our Kentucky/Ohio group of regulars (RRG/Rush).

So do you recommend carrying extra gas cans out there? 7-8 hours I'm thinking that will use a lot of fuel.

I'm driving 3.5 hours to get there. I'll have both my jerry cans filled before I leave home, along with a full tank of gas. Then fill up again before going into the park.

It was 2yrs before that trip ;)

The coolest part about Harlan is that the stupid hard obsticles are offshoots and connectors to the main easier trails, so you can be in a mixed group of rigs and have fun. You can ride out and watch people do stupid stuff in buggies and what not and not really hold anyone back so to speak. The hard stuff is also very easy to get to if you want to spectate.

Anybody want a Hero 4 black with a handheld gimbal to capture awesome footage of yourself at Harlan? Need someone to take it off my hands for a small price.

Got about $750+ in it. I'd take $450 for it. GoPro comes with an extra battery and the Gimbal comes with extra batteries as well.

We'll have our 12 year old grandson with us. He's not exactly an early riser. I plan on being somewhat hung over. 8/9am start MIGHT be pushing it , but I'm looking at a long day on the trail.

    So...closer to 9 than 8....

That's the "paper map" I have. $5 at the camp store. Pretty accurate map.
