There are lots of cool places to pull off and camp, fish, stuff like that all over the place up there.

A while back I was looking to get a new, bigger cooler and went with the 52 quart Ozark Trail. I don't remember names, but a couple of guys asked for honest feedback after I got it. I've used it through a full summer and into fall a bit now, and honestly it's not worth the money. If you can keep it stocked with ice, probably no big deal, but if there is no ice nearby, this thing won't keep it for more than a couple of days in the heat. I'm going to use it for keeping water, but the next cooler will be a Yeti or Pelican.

I know a lot of people are against it, but you can compress/decompress springs without a spring compressor if you completely loosen the lower control arm and unbolt it from the spindle and use a jack to compress/decompress the shock in/out of the coil. Just pay attention to the jack and make sure it doesn't tip and you'll be fine, and mark the alignment cams so you can at least kind of get your alignment back to spec. I've done it twice no problem, it's not as treacherous as it sounds but I don't blame you if you don't wanna do that. I did try renting an auto zone spring compressor and the coils on our coils are too thick for them to be used safely

The new Pelicans are VERY light, and just as strong. They have a new proprietary plastic. Bought a new one just before my CA- Moab trip, this past July.

Noticed yesterday that my DTRL lenses are melting. Wasn’t melted a couple months ago...way outside the extension period for TSB.

I see what you did there... :luvya:

Yeah...I’ve got service scheduled for Wednesday to include wheel bearings under warranty. I’ll see if I can work this in...if not, maybe I’ll go all LED since it’s not totally fucked yet. Dropping $700+ on retros doesn’t tickle my fancy.

I have not messed around out there yet. I hear its pretty cool though.
Mine did that too and i was waaay out of extension period too. I gave em hell up in corporate and they gave me $750 to go away. It was still cheaper to buy from one of the random people on here like camelback and install brand new ones that are the new supposedly non melty type.
