Gotta admit, I was leery of it at first. But after several days at highway speeds and some woods trails, it's still solid. Even with two people in the tent, it doesn't sag or bow on the bottom. I was thinking of a third cross bar to support the middle, but it doesn't seem necessary. In the shop, I pull the tent, attached to the cross bars straight off the shell and drive away. Still happy with this GB, thanks @ChandlerDOOM

Hmmm.... to go back to a RTT? These look pretty cool. I'll admit, I read through the posts to about page 8, then skipped to the end. You have in black/grey? What's the final status on delivery options? I'm in Harrisburg, PA.

    Do it =D

So is the price still $1500 plus $150 for shipping or were you able to get enough people for shipping included?

Looking at the inner dimensions, is it 3' tall inside when opened?

Price is still $1500, I think shipping will be closer to $100 per person. I could probably do $1500 shipped if it was a full 40ft container since the price per tent would be lower. The first buy I paid for everything out of pocket for the drive out to California and back, But half of the container was stuff for myself so it was okay. This time I can't afford to take a week off work along with fuel costs unless everyone pitches in.

Damn it, why do I do this to myself? I just caved. Black and grey for me please! Thanks @ChandlerDOOM! I hope this works out for my camping solution better than my last traditional-style RTT.

It literally goes up in a minute. I have two full size pillows, two sleeping bags and the ladder stored while its closed.

Closing it is just as easy, just takes a little bit more time.

    Seriously bad ass.

It's not on your build page though? :spy:

My old RTT took me about 20 minutes to setup. Climbing on the tailgate, the rear tires, inside the back of the truck with the doors open, hanging onto the Yakima bars... and that is just to unzip the cover. Removing the cover was more than 5 minutes itself.

I think this will fit snug up to the solar panel I have mounted on the cab roof rack, and just hang off the back a small amount. We'll see when the time comes.

Ill try to make a video of it this weekend. I do have sliders I stand on to reach to unstrap straps, so I have to go to each side of the tent to loosen the straps. but that in its all, is about one minute. the tent then just pops up as soon as you push it up.
