i picked up the smallest one early this spring. used a handful of times around the house. no issues outside of a busted o ring in the hose connection which was a $.50 fix. i'm content with it

These things are identical. The top is better on the husky one though. Good price for the HF one, I got the husky cheaper on black Friday.

Been using it for years. Flux core and arc welding, grinding. No problems. Keep the lens clean and replace the lens guard as needed.

I REALLY want that Yukon tool cart. I have never seen it on sale though and I'm stubborn. I've considered getting the Husky because it's cheaper, but decided to hold out for the Yukon. Since it's a "want" and not a need", I'm going to give it til Christmas. If it doesn't go on sale, I'll buy it for myself as a gift. lol

I have tons of those micro-fiber clothes. A couple measuring tapes and plenty of the screwdrivers. Love me some free-bees!

I bought the husky before the HF existed.

Sorry if this came up already, any experiences with predator generators? In the market for an ~7000 watt generator, wondering if I should consider it.

Took me 3 to get a good one. First had a broken motor mount right out of the box. Second had a timing issue and blew the carb to pieces on the first start attempt. Third one has 19+ hours on it and starts up the first time when I need it. Had a wind storm rip the roof & part of the wall off a neighboring building and subsequently took the power line with it. Generator powered 2 freezers, kitchen, water heater, entertainment center, and lights.
After the first hour of run time to make sure it was good, I added a VDO hour meter to it. They have a perfect spot on the left side of the panel that keeps the back of the meter inside the protected electronics housing.

You'll be happy with it. I even used their detailing pads because I was in a pinch and wanted to detail my car randomly. I got a few uses out of them before the foam separated from the velcro backing, but I was happy with them. This was the result.

I used all of them. Each one is for a different stage of the detailing process.

    • Orange is the most aggressive and abrasive. I paired this with a cutting compound.
    • Blue is the middle and I used that with a polish.
    • Black is the finishing pad and I used that with wax.

Just make sure you wash and clay first!

If you wash, dry, clay, cutting compound, polish and then wax, you'll be tired as hell but have a nice shiny ride!
